After qualification from Edinburgh Dental Hospital, valuable experience was gained working in a well-established, progressive mixed practice in Newcastle Upon Tyne where emphasis was on prevention of disease with hygienists at the heart of it. I was one of 3 hygienists providing the equivalent of 2 full time, for 4 dentists. A forward-thinking ratio, providing good preventive dentistry.
Moving to Essex also brought a change in direction. Working in a practice which focused on NHS patients, but included the setting up of a pioneering preventive dental unit which was aimed at dental education and fluoridation for the younger patients.
This involvement with education has progressed and is now focused on working mainly with adult patients, and in particular those with implants or with periodontal disease, by using a holistic approach to solving their sometimes-complex dental challenges and help them to achieve the best results possible, with a personally tailored oral health regime.

Jenny qualified as a dental hygienist from King's College London in 2005. Jenny started her dental career back in 1998 as a dental nurse. She gained her dental nursing qualification and additional qualifications in dental radiography and oral health before studying to become a hygienist.
Jenny has been in dentistry since she was 17 years old and is passionate about helping patients to save their teeth and maintain a healthy mouth.
