Michael graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2016 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), and worked in multiple general practices across London and Essex. He moved to Australia in 2019 and worked in private practice in Melbourne, before returning to the UK in 2022 to study for his Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) in Endodontics at the prestigious Queen Mary University of London.

Based at the Royal London Dental Hospital, Michael has been able to hone his clinical skills completing complex cases as part of his advanced endodontic training. Michael’s doctoral thesis was centred on studying cracks in teeth and worked on creating a novel protocol to aid their detection, and he has presented his research at national and international conferences. Michael was also able to complete an elective at the University of Otago in New Zealand, where he has undertaken an additional research project investigating the effects of occlusal forces on the pulp of teeth.

Michael is due to complete his DClinDent in September 2025 and is scheduled to sit his Membership Exam in Endodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons with a view to then register as a specialist.
