How your teeth look can affect your self confidence. Making the decision to straighten your teeth can be exciting and a little daunting, so at Warwick Lodge Specialist Dentistry we offer a range of orthodontic options.

Teeth Straightening Braces Kirkgate Private Dentist 3

At Warwick Lodge Specialist Dentistry we offer traditional braces, but we also have options for near-invisible teeth straightening solutions. No-one will know you are wearing braces, so you can keep smiling even through treatment.  Our orthodontist, Spencer Nute, routinely uses tooth-coloured braces, which match your teeth to appear much more discrete than traditional metal braces. He is also certified to use the Autograph® clear aligner system. He will be happy to discuss the different types of braces that would be suitable for you at the initial consultation visit.

Age isn’t a factor for orthodontic treatment, but healthy teeth are a must. If you have tooth decay or gum disease, you’ll need to treat this before we can fit your braces. It’s not always possible to treat every concern with braces alone. Our Orthodontist, Spencer Nute, may recommend a combination of braces and jaw surgery for the best outcome.

Why choose a specialist?

Any dentist can legally undertake teeth straightening treatments, however a specialist orthodontist has undertaken 3 years additional training on an approved course leading to a higher degree and a Royal College of Surgeons diploma.  Our Orthodontist, Spencer Nute, has also undertaken a further 2 years training and a higher Royal College of Surgeons diploma to treat the most complex problems and qualify to become a hospital consultant.

What are the benefits of orthodontic treatment?

Braces can bring life changing benefits:

    • The can improve the appearance of your smile
    • They can correct the way your teeth bite together and function
    • They can reduce the risk of damage to prominent teeth
    • They can make it easier to clean your teeth

      Whats involved in the treatment?

Our orthodontist Spencer Nute will start with an initial consultation taking x-rays, photos and impressions of your teeth. From here you will receive a tailored treatment plan explaining your treatment options and costs.

Every 6 - 8 weeks subsequent visits are required, allowing adjustments to be made, getting you one step closer to your dream smile. After this stage is completed you will then have removable and fixed permanent retainers to maintain your new smile

The time is takes for your braces to work their magic is dependent on the severity of your case. This means that cost will also vary from patient to patient as some people will need braces on for longer.
